After delivering more than 29,000 boxes of fruits and vegetables for more than a year, neighbors, community leaders and members of organizations in Fallstaff, northwest Baltimore, have concluded their food delivery program.

Led by the CHAI organization and with the support of CASA, Fallstaff Improvement Association and Fallstaff Elementary Middle School, volunteers delivered weekly boxes of fruits such as apples, peaches, cherries, among others, and vegetables such as corn, tomatoes and lettuce, to name a few.

The program began in April 2020 in response to the food crisis that was emerging in the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite natural conditions such as rain, snow, and intense sunshine, more than 30 volunteers joined the project throughout the 93-week program.
